• Drive your own dogsled! During this 2 1/2-hour adventure, top-notch dogsled company, Wolfsong, gives you hands-on experience harnessing the dogs and driving your own sled — with the reassurance of Wolfsong guide sleds in front and in back of our sleds. Or opt to ride with the guides. The friendly huskies enjoy running trails as much as you love hiking them. If you hike or bike with us, you’re in shape for this adventure.
• Take two unforgettable hikes, exploring the wild beauty of Lake Superior’s ice caves and natural ice sculptures…pristine forests … and vistas of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.
• Snowshoe through snow-flocked trees of the North Woods. This is easy to do, and we’ll have snowshoes for you to use.
• Discover Bayfield, described as "the Best Little Town in the Midwest" by a Chicago Tribune travel writer. This quaint, friendly harbor town is nestled on a sandstone bluff that juts into Lake Superior.

Enjoy Lake Superior’s ice sculptures

• Cross-country or downhill ski at Mount Ashwabay, named for the Bay towns of Ashland, Washburn, and Bayfield. Now owned by a non-profit coalition, it’s "the little ski hill that could," with 14 alpine runs, 35 kilometers of cross-country trails, and a cozy chalet with stone fireplaces. (Skiing is not included in our package price; tickets/rentals are reasonable.)
• View the "Jewels of Lake Superior." Twenty-one Apostle Islands dot Lake Superior off the shores of Bayfield. Madeleine Island, located 2 1/2 miles off Bayfield Peninsula, is the largest of the Apostle Islands and is 14 miles long by 3 miles wide. In winter, the islands are accessible only by driving an ice road over the frozen lake.
• Sit back and relax with luxury motor-coach transportation and an experienced driver for our entire trip (plus games, fun, food, and movies en route to and from Bayfield).
• Enjoy three restful nights at the Bayfield Inn, with Lake Superior views, and 2 beds in each room. We’ll also have use of the Inn’s gathering room for evening fun.
